My name is Jessica Healy and I have a love and fascination for photography. Early in my college years, I developed a strong interest in photography and purchased my first camera. Sadly enough, because I was not an art major, I was not permitted to enroll in photography classes. After graduating from Syracuse Universirty in 1998 with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a BA in Linguistics, I turned to teaching special education in the public school systems. I found that my interest in photography was never quenched. I left teaching and took a part-time position working as a photographer for Lifetouch Portrait studios and was quickly promoted to a studio manager for Target Portait Studios in Woburn, MA. After several years of service, I found that I need to continue to grow as a photographer. I bought my first DSLR, enrolled in the NY Institute of Photography and began working for Ritz Camera. Since my life-changing decision, I have managed three Ritz Camera locations, have co-founded
Word of mouth Jewelry, have taught through Northern Essex Community College, and "Do it yourself Jewelry Photography" through the
Bead Gallery in Salem, NH, and have been published for the 2007
Bead Gallery calender.
